THE FARM

The farm on which this exciting race will be held is BLANERNE Farm.
It is 30km outside Ladysmith on the Newcastle Road ( the N11) in Elandslaagte,
which is in the middle of the battlefield area in Northern Natal.

It is owned by the Mitchell – Innes family and has been since 1863.
Blanerne is 6500 hectares, and is a beef and game farm.

Ian Mitchell – Innes (father) and William (son), use the method of Holistic Management

This area is unique in that it has open savanna grasslands and bush velt, making it the perfect environment for many species of game and abundant bird life.
