This challenging course includes beautiful landscapes with views of Blanerne farm, Elandslaagte and the not-to-be-missed, breathtaking ukhahlamba Drakensberg mountains. Mist tunnels and suspended bridges are just some of the fun aspects the athletes will enjoy. Riders can expect some steep climbs, sharp ascents, and amazing flowing as well as technical single track through the natural forest and of course the opportunity of cycling through wild game, such as: Kudu, Impala, Blesbok and NGUNI cattle.

I urge the runners who have entered the 5km fun trail run/walk, to try cycling this 19km MTB as well, let’s admit none of us are here for a hair cut!! This intermediate cycle includes great single track through beautiful natural forest and some rather challenging steep inclines, with different routes on the Saturday and Sunday. Cyclists will have a once in a life time opportunity to cycle through wild game such as: Kudu, Impala, Blesbok and the beautiful rare species – The NGUNI cattle. Mist tunnels and suspended bridges are just some of the fun aspects the athletes will enjoy.

This fun and energized event is only for children between the ages of 4 – 9yrs. Sorry mom and dad you will only be able to watch this from the side lines!!!!! The kiddies will enjoy a flat ride in and amongst the cattle on the farm.

I urge cyclists who are participating in the 19km MTB ride to enter this event as well, at the end of the day it’s all about what you put in! This intermediate run includes a challenging up hill to get out of the valley. The runners will enjoy making their way through the farm’s natural bush and in and over the streams making it a fun and relaxed event.

Trail Run Events - 10 & 11 September 2011

This challenging and technical race is for the real adventures ready to take on wild game on foot! The runners will face steep valleys with the odd river as well as some other exciting obstacles, with different routes on the Saturday and Sunday. This race will separate the mice from the men!!!!
